StoryKeeper vs Remento
Keep the voice.
Lose the renewal.
Love a book that lets you hear their stories? Choose StoryKeeper for original audio and video, chapter QR playback, and the freedom to type instead. Plus adds phone-call recording. Pay once and keep creating at your family’s pace—no subscription and no time limit.
The memories should keep coming. Not the subscription bills.
Remento and StoryKeeper both connect printed stories to original recordings. StoryKeeper gives you more freedom around that experience: start directly in writing, record audio or video, or tell stories by phone with Plus. And when another memory comes back next year, there is no renewal decision standing in the way.

Some memories want a voice. Others want a page.
Why choose one way to tell a whole life? StoryKeeper lets you start directly in writing, dictate a memory, or record original audio or video. Plus adds phone-call recording and transcription. Use the format that feels right for the person, the day and the story.
Remento starts with a recording and creates text you can edit. StoryKeeper lets the first words be typed instead—ideal for a thoughtful reflection, a story someone has already written, or a family member who simply prefers the keyboard.
A complete keepsake, not just a collection of recordings.
Make something your family will want to open again and again. Bring stories and photographs together in a full-colour hardcover, with up to 500 printed pages. Read the chapter, scan its QR code, and hear or watch the original memory being told.
Classic includes one hardcover. Plus includes two hardcovers—one to keep and one to share. Review and approve your book before printing, with no deadline forcing you to leave a favourite memory out. Remento’s standard hardcover credit covers up to 200 pages, with larger books costing extra. StoryKeeper includes room for up to 500 printed pages in the included hardcover.
Keep the story. And the way they told it.
A familiar voice can make a printed memory feel present again. Scan a StoryKeeper chapter’s QR code to hear the original audio or watch the original video. The laugh, the pause and the expression remain part of the keepsake.
Remento also offers audio, video and chapter QR playback, plus phone-call recording as a US-only add-on. StoryKeeper’s advantage is everything around those recordings: direct typing, phone-call storytelling with Plus and no subscription needed to keep building the book.
Let the next chapter arrive in its own time.
Good stories do not always come back on schedule. A family visit, an old photograph or a question from a grandchild can bring back a memory months later. With StoryKeeper, you can keep adding and shaping stories without a completion deadline or annual subscription.
Remento includes one year of creation. After that, new recordings and editing require a paid renewal; existing stories, recordings and QR playback remain available without it. StoryKeeper keeps the ongoing decision out of the gift: pay once, and take the time your family needs.
More people remember. More of the story survives.
The best details often belong to someone else. The photograph in your sister’s drawer. The question only a grandchild would ask. The family joke that makes a whole chapter come alive. StoryKeeper Plus includes unlimited contributors, so more of the people who remember can help.
Choose what to share with invited collaborators and viewers, and keep shaping the book at your own pace. Remento also supports collaborators. Choose StoryKeeper when you want shared help plus direct writing, phone calls with Plus and no subscription to keep creating. With StoryKeeper, family help, original recordings and a beautiful hardcover come together without a subscription or a deadline.
