Make room for the way they naturally remember.
A family story does not have to begin at a keyboard. With StoryKeeper, type a chapter, dictate it, record a voice or capture a video. Plus includes phone-call recording and transcription, giving someone who loves a good conversation another easy way to take part.
My Life in a Book supports typing and voice-to-text. StoryKeeper also keeps the original audio or video connected to the chapter, so speaking a story can preserve more than the words it produces.
A beautiful hardcover. A living connection.
Make something your family will want to open again and again. Bring stories and photographs together in a full-colour hardcover, with up to 500 printed pages. Read the chapter, scan its QR code, and hear or watch the original memory being told.
Classic includes one hardcover. Plus includes two hardcovers—one to keep and one to share. Review and approve your book before printing, with no deadline forcing you to leave a favourite memory out. My Life in a Book also offers a full-colour hardcover of up to 500 pages. StoryKeeper adds the connection to original audio and video through chapter QR codes, so the keepsake holds more than the printed story.
Keep the laugh that never made it into the transcript.
A transcript tells you what someone said. A recording brings you closer to them. StoryKeeper preserves original audio and video. Scan the QR code connected to a chapter and return to the moment the memory was told—complete with the pauses, laughter and expressions.
My Life in a Book offers voice-to-text and advertises an optional audiobook made using a voice sample. StoryKeeper’s chapter playback is a different kind of keepsake: the actual recording behind a memory, not a newly narrated version of the finished text.
Let a lifetime unfold. Without a deadline.
Give someone the freedom to remember, not another thing to finish. StoryKeeper Classic and Plus have no subscription, renewal or completion deadline. Pause, revisit a chapter, add a photograph and keep going when the next story is ready.
My Life in a Book includes a one-year question programme, with an optional US$59 extra year of prompts. That extension is not required to print a book created in the initial year. StoryKeeper puts a clear no-time-limit promise at the heart of both packages, with original audio and video to make each new memory even more personal.
One life. So many people who remember.
The best details often belong to someone else. The photograph in your sister’s drawer. The question only a grandchild would ask. The family joke that makes a whole chapter come alive. StoryKeeper Plus includes unlimited contributors, so more of the people who remember can help.
Choose what to share with invited collaborators and viewers, and keep shaping the book at your own pace. My Life in a Book also supports family editing. StoryKeeper combines that shared effort with selective sharing, original-recording playback and more ways to tell the story. With StoryKeeper, family help, original recordings and a beautiful hardcover come together without a subscription or a deadline.

Before you choose your life story book
Why choose StoryKeeper over My Life in a Book?
Choose StoryKeeper to keep the original voice and video as well as the written story. Chapter QR codes open the recordings, and both packages have no subscription or time limit. Plus adds phone-call recording, unlimited contributors and a second hardcover.
Is voice-to-text the same as original audio playback?
No. Voice-to-text turns speech into writing. StoryKeeper also preserves original audio and video, so your family can scan a chapter’s QR code and return to the actual telling—not only read the words created from it.
Can someone take part without typing?
Yes. They can dictate or record original audio and video online with either StoryKeeper package. Plus also includes phone-call recording and transcription. Choose the approach that feels easiest, and review the story before printing.
Keep the words. And everything between them.
Start a StoryKeeper book from R1,799 in South Africa. Write, dictate, record audio or video, and choose Plus for phone-call storytelling. Keep the original memories linked to the chapters. No subscription. No time limit.
